    Re: Entering GPS Marks

Adam you need to use a convertor for your marks as it sounds like you have marks in degrees minutes and seconds instead of degrees minutes and decimals of minutes
    here is a convertor

how would you enter that if you wanted degrees, minutes & seconds, as its already displayed as that but its 19.8seconds....im confused hahaha

    24 48 330
    152 43 680
your gps will be working in degrees minute and decimals of seconds

    Re: Entering GPS Marks

Can i change that? As i have just entered all my marks in.

That mark that i gave you with the decimal seconds is from a pro fisherman, and i need to enter it like you just showed. So did you just time 19.8 by 600??? to get 330???

    Adam
    I used the convertor
I don't have a navman plotter but I think even if you can change the setting from decimals to seconds the the unit will convert all the marks at the same time so they would still have to be inputted again correctly

    Re: Entering GPS Marks

Haha i figured it out after i just sent that last post - actually looked at the converter and got it right in my head now - i will input the marks again tonight.

Thanks for all your help mate.

I figure i can just divide the decimal seconds by 60 and that will give me the correct seconds...

    19.8/60 = .330

    therefore 24d 48'330"

    Re: Entering GPS Marks

yeah thats it but the 330 is not seconds but a decimal of a degree without the decimal place

    1. No the 330 is decimal minutes not decimal degrees. He had it all worked this only confuses

    "24 48 330
    152 43 680
your gps will be working in degrees minute and decimals of seconds Stuie"

    2. Similar Degrees Minutes and decimal minutes, no seconds at all.
