Matrix 12 question.

My Matrix 12 sounder will not read depth correctly. When it reads 0.7 feet, it is about 3-4 feet. It will also not read lower. Is there a procedure of ajusting the depth zero? Thanks Guys.

Double check it is not 0.7 metres and remember that the transducer is probably 2 feet below the water level. I don't think there is any way of changing the zero mark.

you need to go into your menu end make sure your in advance mode then measure the distance from your transducer to the waterline on your boat enter this measurement as a negative, e.g 40cm enter -0.4m

If you're getting really poor returns I'd suggest checking the transducer location. You can change the offset as stanley says but you should still be getting a bottom return at depth. is it a problem at speed or even when stationary? (I'm guessing 'always'), is the transducer fully immersed when stopped with a clear view below it? what type of boat? (not sure if you need a soft isolator pad in between the bracket and hull if it's aluminium??).
