    squid

    Hi

    can anyone tell me where and what months are good to chase some squid in morton bay, I have a 4.3m tinnie, as I live on the gold coast I have never fished in the bay.

    Also have any mackeral turned up?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The best time, in the northern end of the bay, is winter when a westerly wind is blowing. Sandgate pier is a regular haunt for land based fishos seeking a feed.
