I got one about the same size off Teewah beach once.
There is nothing you can't catch mate!
Lots of people would mistake that for a catfish if they saw it swim by them.

pitty big cobes usually almost always lose their stripes skipalong![]()
I spotted a couple of 3ft~ cobes in a secret spot off the Maroochy cruising around together about a month back. I didn't have my gear with me or I'd have had a cast. That said, they had plenty of 'food' around them, so they probably weren't too hungry.

Cute little bugger. Good photos of him to. Caught one a little bigger in the pin mouth drifting plastics and boy at that size they got a lot of fattening up to get to the big boys size and pull. Good fun
