Rumours of barra on the goldy have been around for years, now theres a photo of a 77cm barra caught on a soft plastic in the Nerang river!

What a top catch for the lucky young guy. Looks to me as though it musta been around Ashmore somewhere, just down from M1. On 4lb line too
I see the comments on the bottom of the page that a few have been sighted around the Coomera, I reckon those comments are also legit, cos they line up with a few other stories Ive heard from people on this forum who keep it quiet. Ive fished around Coomera for years and never seen a barra, but then again who targets em there?
Why travel to the NT? get amongst em on the goldy, wo hooo.......

Thanks Gecko , that is an interesting catch, im sure theres a few fish tank barra getting about , i know a guy who caught one in a canal , i had something go crazy one night hitting the surface - could have been , not quiet thick enough around here to target, cheers.
