    Fuel Tank

Enquiring if anybody has or knows if you can buy or where to get them made poly fuel tanks that fit the shape of aluminium hulls i have a seajay 4.35sp with the full flat floor in it .I am looking to get the fuel tank under the floor but the ribs are only about 305 wide and with the v shape of the hull the depth is 300mm at the deepest and then decreases either way with the shape of the hull,If some body could inform me if they have solved this problem or where you can obtain poly fuel tanks to the shape of hull would be much appreciated i am only after 30-60ltrs if possible thanks.

Bemuda fuel tanks are polly and come in different shapes and sizes for under deck use, i've just pulled one out of my boat because it won't pass survey requirerments, shame you only want a little one mines 130 litres and selling it off shortly.

    Doggy,

I have the same hull, a Seajay 4.35 but the Escape CX model which does have an under floor tank, in aluminium. I think it it 65 litres

Why not check with Seajay to see if you can obtain one from the builder.

I have a 4.55 seahay and I found after alot of searching that a fitted poly tank was expensive as hell. aswell as hard to find a proper fit.

I ended up getting a custom aluminum one made to fit. I simply took off my floor, took the boat in and they welded up a 75l tank for me in the floor. and rather cheap too. around $450 i think.

    Hi Flex

I am putting a new floor in a Haines at the moment and wish to put an underfloor tank in at the same time.

If you could find the name of the Fab shop it would be much appreciated.

Here's one Pedrodepacus custom made for me, about 115 ltr, pressure tested, safety stamped, quality job & much better price than I could get at 2 other places, one already mentioned on here. He's got my 78ltr tank at the moment modifying it to fit another boat. Well worth getting a quote from him.

    cheers, HR
