monduran fishing trip help

hey guys im planning to take a trip up to monduran just wondering when is the best time to go should i pick a time around full moon or just go when ever. ill most likely be staying there for 3 nights. also was wondering about getting a guide for the first day so he could show me a few things do you think this is a good idea any comments will be greatly appreaciated as id like to learn as much as posible before i head up. what else do i need to know before i go?

Firstly its a fresh water fishery
If your new to the joint and only have 3 days then a guide would certainly be a wise choice esp since the dam has been fishing pretty tough.

Stocked impoundment mate, so you will need a S.I.P. These can be purchased on line, or grab one at the park kiosk.

Two ramps currently with good access, one concrete and one dirt.

Full moon, new moon, what ever, just go, though a rising moon late in the arvo is a great trigger, as are multiple other things. Moon equals crowds, keep that in mind.

Lures, take your pick, plenty of info on these, but do up-grade splits and trebles, you dont want to lose a fish of a life time to a dodgy factory fitted hook.

Plenty of places to fish up there, have a look around, but remember to keep clear of others fishing, keep your noise to a minimum where your fishing, look after the fish you want to release to maximize their survival, look after the fish you kep to maximixe their taste, and have a bloody great time up there.
