    The yanks have Barramundi

I was having a look around some fishing sites and came across this one in the US, apparently they have imported Barramundi as some sort of farming arrangement and let the yanks battle them in the dams on a catch and release basis. apparently there's not enough sport in carp and catfish

    Oh well, good on them.

This particular farm is in Colorado.

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

interesting... never knew that... looks like there doing the same as some of the barra farms up here are doing... breading them commercialy and have a few ponds set aside to line fish in as well... barra in the pic. looks rather black... wouldn't like to go and eat it..

Why wouldn't they be using Nile Perch? A 200kg+ Barra type fish is something I would like to see

Nile perch are capable of breeding in dams/lakes and cause they grow big and quick they eat eveything else and before long the waterway is r00ted, they have buggered many a waterway/ecosystem in Africa..still they would be cool to catch, you could probably catch em on slow trolled asylum see...er maybe not
