    Hello Barrakid -
You should be right to get yourself out to Outer Rock off Bustard Head in that 4.9m boat (weather permitting). There's been a few spanish about out there of late , I personally like trolling live yakka's but CD24's in green and gold have worked well for me b4.
Take some slugs for the Mac Tuna ( just look for the birds ) A slab of tuna and live yakka's will also get you some grassy's and trout in the same area.

sounds good mate i am more interested in the grassies and trout and jacks and the like as we get lots of spanish and mac tuna around here (hervey bay) but not so many good trout and stuff like that.
I think the plan is to put in the crab pots and then lure the days away and see what we can find.
I have no idea of the area even know we owned 5 acers at agnes but i was to young to remember much.
Any tips would be great on fishing the creeks and aparently there is a reef near pancake creek ??? but i am unsure

    cheers scott

ring agnes waters bait and tackle and ask for Tony, he will point you right. He used to be a member here for a long time, so just mention ausfish. I was up there 2 months ago, and dropped in, hes still there, and is very helpful.

Its about 2 mile N NE of Pancake Creek entrance mate. I have the exact gps marks on the boat so if ya call inwhile we are there I will write it out for you. We will be down there Friday.
Just looking at the weather, SE all weekend and getting up to 25kn. Still fishable though at that as the land takes out the sting mostly. Could be a bit lumpy.

    Re: 1770 Help Please

There are two GBRMP 5 day closures this year One this week and one in November. This is for coral reef fin fish. dont forget that estuary cod are now classed as coral reef fin fish even if you do catch them in the river

There used to be 3 X 9day closures in the past but that has been changed.

The coral reef fin fish closure dates for this year are: 15 October to 19 October and 14 November to 18 November 2009.
For the dates for the next 5 years goto DPI web site
