    Pete,
TW is now in Shakespeare St, near the Toyota end of the street. The driver from Moranbah to Mackay should take about 1hr 45min or 2hrs depending on stoppages for oversize loads.

Drive safely as there are a lot of d***heads on that road.

    Cheers,

Mackay is about 2hrs run, the tackle shop is in Shakespeare St. Don't go and buy a shit load of gear like i did as you only need a few lures and a bag of plastics. What sort of gear do you have, I caught more barra on my bass gear than with the new flash stuff I have now.

wow, 2hr run to the local tackle shop ,I would have to be in serious need of some tackle retail theropy to go on that run.
The gear I use is mainly diawa rods & reels & I only have 1 tray of lures that are mostly aussie made, thats what I tell the misses.
    Looking forward to it.

Thats why after a few beers you stay off ebay other whise you end up with enough lures to sink a battle ship.Have ya been told when they want ya yet.Im thinking of going for a run tomorrow coming home on Friday the Mrs is'nt stoked as she goes back to work tomorrow

    Re: moranbah bound

I went on Thursday for a look at Kinchant and the wind was howling, so I decided to go to Teembra. Had a pie at Pinnacle pub then headed to the dam at about 1.30 It was stinking hot and the wind wasn't as bad so I found a few little bays with a slight breeze pushing into them. About the third cast got a nice strike but he wouldn't have another go at it, I hammered that bay for a least a hour but nothing. I went to the other end of the dam as it started to get dark and I picked up a few little ones at about 50 to 60cm which got me keen. As soon as it got dark they went mad hiting all over the place, I tried surface lures but only the odd strike and the bugs you couldn't turn a light on. But it was better than sitting at home . Gav

Pete, Gav, it seems as though I'm not wanted out at Peak Downs. They are shifting me to Hail Creek for 1 1/2 weeks in December.

    Cheers.

    Re: moranbah bound

Morfin it takes about 2hrs to Kinchant and 2 1/2 to Teembra. I prefer Teembra as it has a lot of timber and if its windy you can find a spot to get out of it. But if ya want big fish Kincant is the go(but not on weekends). Cheers Gav
