    moranbah bound

Hi ausfishos , I am bound for the mining area of Moranbah for 6 months building houses & am thinking of towing the freshwater rig . Just wondering if its worth it as I want to take some day trips to the barra dams of kinchet & eungulla , are they reachable for a day trip?

Morfin, I wouldn't hesitate to take the boat mate. You not only have the dams out of Mackay you can also go west a little bit and hit Theresa Ck dam for some red claw and a possible barra. There is also fairbairn at emerald always worth alook.

I'll be either at Moranbah or Dysart until December working at Peak Downs. Should be there inside 2 weeks from now.

Don't forget Teemburra dam after a Pinnacle Pie on the way! Stay away from Kinchant on the weekends or the skiiers will drive you nuts!

I'm with Gav, Definantly try a Pinnacle Pie. There is also a dam in between dysart and middlemount called bundoora which is good for redclaw and yellowbelly.
