    Dinner from Harry's!

Following a few weeks of poor weather, I took a run out to Harry's this morning.
Weather was VERY ordinary when I got out there. Indeed, there were only two other boats. After about 45min, I was the only boat!!!
Anyway, weather finally started to clear, and the boats started rolling back in.
Fishing was very slow, with bait picked off before it found the bottom on many occasions. A couple of decent strikes, but always on the rod I wasn't holding.
About 11.00, the weather started to turn for the worse again, so I called the wife-boss to tell her I'd be motoring back soon. No sooner did she answer the phone, and my rod buckled over. After a bit of a tussle, up came my PB snapper

OK, so it's no monster by anyone's standards, but it's going to taste great for dinner!!

Well done on the PB. I was out at Harries yesterday afternoon. Bad weather and no fish, not even a bite...we only lasted around an hour out there before we decided to call it.....Matt

It's actually the first legal snapper that I've kept. My first and only legal one went 34cm to the fork. This one went 55 to the tip of the tail.
Of course, last time we went to Harry's, my son bought home a 40 and 49cm snapper, along with a decent sweetlip. I came home with a doughnut.
So, it feels good to have come home with a feed, one that went very well in a light beer batter
