The hours are so low it seeeeems like they must be correct but why is it being sold so early in it's useful life? I know it happens but Depending.... I would want a half day on it first.
cheers fnq
I have the next size down and love the hull...built like a tank. Very strong and good at sea. My 485 only has a 60 4 stroke on it and would really like a 75...but 60 OK with WOT top speed about 47kph...ffshore cruise at 30-35....the 90 probably good enough size wise but certainly not overpowered. ETec..? I would buy one for sure ...and planned to if I hadnt gone second hand recently and got a Yammy. ...but its an hysterical topic here so thats for you to decide. I would certainly ask for a tech printout from the service man's laptop and then post the results for Huey on the ETEC forum for him to comment (Craig Huett from Huett marine ) ...this will tell you everything you could want to know about the motor I understand.....even if you have to get the printout by taking it early for its 20hr check yourself..?
Hi Stik,
Cant imagine why someone would want to sell that boat in such short hours other than personal issues.
We have recently got our TABS Master Series 5.10 on the water and absolutely love it !
Have a mate with a 5.10 bowrider TABS and he loves his as well.
I have done the factory tour and seen the work that goes into these things and they are built tuff like a tank, made to last and not break with a bit of punishment. Can vouch for the quality of workmanship.
The 5.10 are rated to use from 75hp to 115hp, but personally, I prefer the max horsepower on a hull.
We chose to go the Optimax 115hp and are more than happy with that, although I believe the 90 E-Tecs do a good size job on that hull as well.
I'm with Mindi.
Here are some pics of ours bud.
Send me a p.m. if you have any more questions.
Cheers: Dig
Mate, I have the TABS 5.4 C/C with a 140hp 4st on the back. Had it since March 06 and cannot fault the boat, very solid. The hull DW is 800kgs as far asthe motor goes with the one you are looking at, get some info on it and make the decision.
Cheers Peter
Hey Stik,
I bought a 2nd hand 5.0 territory pro about 12 months ago with 115 Etec (57hrs) on it. Very happy with boat, side console can be a bit wet in open waters, but no dramas in far north qld - cools ya down! Etec has been good so far, good on fuel, 4 blokes, full fuel about 33 knots (65ish km/hr), so goes well. good range too. Started the boat up after not running the engine for 3-4 months, turned over about 1 full rev (normally starts straight away), and fired up no dramas. Etec uses very little oil too (handy cos is expensive).
Depending on electrics you have, go the NMEA setup. works very well, plenty of info available (fuel range, consumption etc) - a must for reef or long trips.....
Hey Digfishin,
What sort of figures do you get out of your opti (top speed, fuel etc)?
Hey Lamonsta,
Will get back to you on that info soon. I still want to run ours in a bit more before I quote figures.
Then I was gonna do all the comparrisons on this forum anyway between my boat, and a mates new TABS 5.10 Bowrider on which he has a new 115hp E-Tec.
Cheers: Dave
I have a 510 T /pro with a 115merc 4st and it has been a good solid little rig, Im gonna get rid of it shortly for something a little larger.
