Hi , depending how old your boys are there's a park called shieler park , shister ? (speeling) it's off of heather on the N. side of the creek, also try near the M1 bridge where you can get live bait and yabbies there too, on tally dr, go all the way to the end and then it looks like a council road ,
you can see the creek fr the road and choose your spots , cheers

john,
try fishing the tide changes under the gold coast highway bridge (besides the caravan park) for flatties. You should be able to walk across the shandbank out to the channel (northern side of creek) on the low tide and fish the last of the run out and first of the run in with light jigs and potentially get one or two. early morning and late afternoon when it is a bit quieter always helps

Re: tallabudgera landbased spots
Seen some big bream while snorkelling in the creek there just recently.. They were hanging on the southern side, on the beach where the surf lifesavers sit - just up from them (towards the ocean) right where the sand finishes and the rocks start - they were haning in an eddie there about 2m deep (5m from shore) - thought at the time I wished I had my rod with me. It was about 4pm on a fast run out tide.
Hope that helps,
Regards,
Brad :-)

Oh no John! Thats aweful! Poor little 6 y.o. Hope he is OK. 9 year old owes him some royal treatment I think... He prolly feels really bad too.
Dont blame yourself - but these things always seem to happen to either foster families or single parents on access.....
Always next time! At least he will have his cast off for Christmas - could have been worse!
