    Fuel drums??

    Does anyone know where you can purchase some used 60l thinners or something similar steel drums in brisbane???
    Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!

    Aren't those 60ltr drums handy for boats and 4x4's. Go to a local panel shop Ian and ask the question. Mechanical shops will have them also but will need a good clean as they would have had oil in them.

    Ring around a few cabinetmakers and panel beaters, they should have a few lying around, we use to buy our thinners in 60ltrs drums, they are a great sized drum.

    Knock on some of the factory doors in the clontarf industrial estate, or the Brendale Industrial estate....plenty of places there that would use bulk thinners.

    can organise ya some Ian, but as the guys have said, look outside the square and there are hundreds lying round. just check for rust, the ones that have had solvent in them will rust up pretty quick.

    you may be in luck but most now are on exchange basis. all ours are we return the old one and get discont on the new one!

    if you are wanting them for fuel, buy new, won't cost you much more for them and they are ready to roll,

    There is a mob who make drums just before the gateway bridge on the brissie side, bought mine from there brand new about 2 years ago $40 each 60lt, fits 68lt in the drum. THey have second hand $30 at he time. I found it in the yellow pages. There was a number of us bought 4 each.

    Thanks guys , i found some at coopers plains , the drums had been cleaned ready for fuel and given a fresh coat of black paint all that for $18 each

    it was a company called Tilkey pty ltd they sell all sort of recycled drums, they clean them and if metal there given a coat of paint!
