It's the same demographic that most of the anti-fishing extremist greenies come from. It's like arguing with a priest - they can't be wrong because they will never accept that they can be wrong. Many are pseudo-intellectuals and even if they're not they think they know everything anyway so it's pointless even giving them the air time. You just need to be aware they exist & fight for your beliefs.

Spot on. Guess where the Greens in Tassie all live? Hobart. In the bloody city.

This is what happens when you educate people above their ability to handle it.

The vegans have to blame the bloke who designed us. We are omnivores, eating both meat and vegetables. The incisor teeth are for cutting, the canine teeth are for tearing and the molars are for grinding. Herbivores (vegetarians) only have molars. So true vegans, to show that they are really serious should have their incisors and cannines removed -- it should be like a 'statement' instead of a tatoo or a ring through the tongue or lip.
Anyone who's lived in Asia would know that the scourge of those regions are blood diseases, starting with abnormally low blood pressure and dangerously low levels of iron and haemoglobin. These unfortunate diseases, which are a direct result of not being able to afford diets rich in iron like meat, fish and certain vegetables (mostly yellow in colour) can lead to serious complications including death. Young girls, even in western countries, are prime candidates for these abnormalaties and should seriously consider the consequences of a vegan diet.

As far as saving the planet (my favourite people) please consider our friends in the northern polar regions when you take away their meat and fish -- because veges don't grow so good there.
