    Re: Fin Nor reels

quite good reels, well built and have a good line lay. They cast well and competitvely priced.

I just reviewed the Ahab 20 for the mag and was impressed with it. A few minor issues, such as a plastic bail arm and an exposed drag, also it has a odd feature of silent and clicking (loud noise) operation. In this day and age i dont know why anyone would want to use a reel with a clicking wind mechanism??

    someone please xplain!

If you’re referring to the fin nor offshore spin give it a mis, they have a problem with the main gear cracking.they may have fixed it from last year but I wouldn’t chance it.

    Kevvie,

I understand the clicking wind thing is for the american market. It seems to be a must include item if sold in the US - some reels simply have a redundant clicking bit that does nothing more than make a noise. A bit sill really but there you go - marketing!

    cheers
