Lowrance Ifinder GO2 troubleshooting

I own the above hand held GPS for a while now, trouble is, though it has bee good in the past, it no longer will gain a GPS fix.

I've tried everything I can think of, without busting the unit apart and having a play around inside the friggin thing.

I do have a proper fixed mount GPS coming, but I would like to go for a fish today, and am getting no love from the peice of crap.

I've tried, replacing batt's, soft/hard resets (after saving all my marks elsewhere), is there anything else I can do to try and get this unit to work? Up til about 6 months ago (last time I used it) it would get a lock in no more than 30sec.

Any help would be appreciated ASAP please, max 3 hrs before the boat hits the water

it will be under the sledge when the proper one gets here, till then, I have to let this good weather go to waste! Next weekend though is looking good.
