Where to find Prawns!?

Hey Fellas,

Was just wondering if anyone had any advice on good places to go prawning onshore around Brissy / Gold Coast?

You're out of season, but you can try Powerlines, Karragarra, Pannican, Russel Island (away from the rocks). to name a few but you need a boat. I don't know any spots from the land.

Pete, you forgot sandy creek at the top of Logan river You can park 200 metres from the water.On the Northside try deep water bend, or Straight off the Jetty at Jacksons creek, Nudgee.
Biggest problem with prawning off the bank is, they're never as large as the water is shallower and thats where the smaller prawns are.
