shorncliffe ramp got redone as well to this idea is great works good enough for us!
For those of you who don't know already, the newly refurbished boat ramp on Bird'O'Passage parade is open. Its a marked four lane ramp with a centre floating pontoon, with sandy(muddy) areas either side of the ramp. New lighting has been installed (though I havent seen it on at night so cant comment on its effectiveness). Will be interested to see how this ramp lasts as the construction method is one I havent seen before (though i am sure others have).
Cheers
Greg

560c Bar Crusher "Overtime"
G'day Greg,
I've also watched this with interest because the old ramp was useless for bigger boats and we desperately needed a place where passengers (especially children) could be safely brought aboard or put ashore before the launching and retrieving.
I look forward to reviews from users of the new ramp.
Regards,
White Pointer
hi greg i was down there this afternoon and it was low tide i pressume and it didnt look like there was any water at all at the end???????? do you think they will dredge it?? as ive been watching them build it so i could hopefully put bigger boats in there??but ill let you know im going to try it friday arvo.
cheers jim
The dredge and the barge have been sitting there for almost the duration of the construction period, but I havent seen it in operation at all. Maybe its there for the construction of the new marina complex. I notice that the drege has now gone but the barge is still there. Good luck on friday Jim.
Cheers
Greg
