Hello all does anyone have a gsp waypoint mapping program they can recomend for downloading. something with good maps so i can keep all my waypoints marks in some sort of order and stiil be able to see the deffenition where thay are

mate if you cant find 1 its not that difficult to place them on a chart, you know, one thats made from papper . thats how im keep track of it all, as the chart plotter's screen is just not big enough. if you do find some software for 1 would be interested

Trackmaker is fairly user friendly, the maps are fair, theres no depths or contour lines but better than looking at a screen of dots.

Try garmins map source. You can upload and download from your gps to computer and visa versa. Its not all that expensive either.
righto smartie but you have to admit it is easier and a hell of alot neater then an oldschool map that is why we are on this site lol
google earth is ok but the conversion is a pain. i am chassing something with sam def design for fishing only
Garmin Mapsource is brilliant
And upgrades are available for it.

what type of sounder u got i have a hummingbird program and it overlaps google earth for you by a klick of the mouse to see where thay are if u want it let me know will email it

It will take your marks, convert them to most other GPS formats, including google earth.
For example I have in the past easily converted mark databases from Navman and Garmin into Furuno, rolled them all up, viewed them in Google Earth and Mapsource.
