Was over in Dallas for 2 months and then back based here permanently since in Dubai. I've been a bit surprised with both markets regards boating.
The pricings on boats (hulls) etc in the States wasn't all that different to home as they have a lot of taxes that aren't stated up front like they are there at home, with our GST all inclusive invoiced price.
Over here in Dubai however, everything is ridiculous.
Contrary to when I was here previously a few years back, most anything about the place in Dubai or Abu Dhabi is either crap, no where near the quality or workmanship of what there is there in Oz or and also has a ludicrous price tag....
Got me thinking almost to the point of bringing an aluminium hull over here. The locals (expats) would be amaized I am sure once they saw what they are missing out on!!!
Theres's absolutely nothing worth while here in aluminium at all that I have found!!
