squid out of m'bah???

just wondering were to start looking for squid out of mooloolabah have caught a few out the banks but would love to get a feed when in close.

best @ day or night, rumor has it night time with lights in the water, is this the case
heres a shot of 1 that i caught on a floating livey at the banks, shot ink all over me when i gaffed it, looks like i have cleaned up a bit before the shot

Old Womans Island is not too far out from Urangan Harbour. What's the best time of year and what part of the island?

Vertico, are they accessible from the shore or do you need a boat for these big squid at Point Cartwright?
