Cheapest Boat Insurance
Has anyone shopped around the insurance companies lately and be able to pass on where they got the best deal. Looking to insure boat for about 50 plus third party. thanks Phil

club marine the best around they even have boat side assist for a emergency for injuries

i'm with CGU. $22K of insurance for 300 a year premium.

I bought 30k from club marine. About $400/annum.
Saved 5% by buying online.

G'day,
Boat insurance costs around 1% PA of the BMT valuation. If it's a fairly new rig the insurers will know what it's worth, otherwise they may ask to have it valued.
The value to you comes in the fine print. Read the product disclosure statement carefully and note what you have to do to meet their conditions and what the claims procedures are.

I went through an insurance broker, and they put me onto Trident.
They had recently dropped Club Marine. From memory, it was something to with CM not have 'true' agreed value..... Remembering that they'll 'agree' to let you pay for a premium of x amount, but may only pay out on market value.
Edit: I'd also be careful about looking for the cheapest insurance.... you often get what you pay for....
