    Smelly bait boys v SP's

    Hi all

Over the last few years I've noticed the friendly divide between the traditional bait fisher and the latest high tech plastic baits.

I mainly crab, but when I do fish it's with bait, just wondering what the go is now, with the amount of SPs that you soak in smelly liquid?

Will it be Smelly bait boys (SBB) v Smelly soft plastics (SSP)

or is this a sign that soft plastics can't compete with the real McCoy?

    Regards

It's human nature to have a "v",,,,, 4 stroke v 2 stroke,,,,, Holden v Ford,,,,,, my reel v your reel,,, me v me misses,,,, you get the point. Humans just can't seem to let things be what it is.

Oh yeah the bait boys won the River to Mud against the Frangers

they are a piece of plastic mate..nothing hi tech about it..just a piece of plastic..nothing special about them or fishing with them...just another piece of pollution tossed into the water.

I use a bit of both, probably more of the plastic now because it's easy to hop out of the car and have a quick flick on my way home from wherever. That and it doesn't smell, if you think it does you've bought the wrong bloody plastics!

I use bait when I feel like being a lazy so and so.

if one consistantly out fished the other day after day there wouldnt be many people trying something different.
so i say neither because it can go either way

hahaha nothing beats a livie and I am an SP man myself but a livie is a livie... LoL
I prefer the SP's they suit my style I am an ADHD kid that is always fiddling or moving around so they suit me better.... LoL I have used bait but it's a pain to freeze if ya don't use it all and is a pain to buy when you pick up the packets and they are all freezer burnt.. my preference SP's they suit me to a T.

I happily use both, often at the same time. livey out on the penn 850, and flicking a few plastics with the baitcaster. best of both worlds.

Bait V soft plastics isn't really an argument, they both have their place. the real question is "soft plastics V hard bodies" True??

In that case, plastics win out for me in a big way. I've had very little success on hard bodies in comparison.
