    G'day legs11,

9-10 hours sounds good, I'm in no rush to get back to land.

Legsy..I have done a few trips out of there this year on Baitrunner..great operators. I would not go on Keely Rose for one reason..bloody diesel in it..i hate the smell of diesel exhausts.

I have done about 80 trips on "Baitrunner" over the past 6 years and they are an excellent charter.
I have been out on "Keely Rose" moured alongside which is also excellent and its new high performance diesel motor is well maintained by Ed Falconer and does not smell as I sat down the back near the exhaust. Anyone who has been out with Ed will testify to this and both charters will put you on fish.

    Cheers

I've only been on two charters, one with 'Smithy' on SQCS, and one with John Gooding on 'Outlaw'.
Both were outstanding. Both were slow fishing days, but both skippers went out of their way to find us what little fish there were on those days (they honestly were quiet days).
I've actually got another charter booked with SQCS in late October for my sons birthday... fingers crossed the weathers OK.

    I couldn't recommend either enough.

    GDay Bundymat,

I agree, fishing is always my highest priority but if they arn't on theres nothing better than food, tea, beer and a crew who look like they are trying to find em for you.

If it has not been stated already, you could try Unreel Fishing charters out of Tin Can with Ivan Jenson.
We went with him on fathers day last year and he looked after us really well.
He made us hold back twice before we could get the right moon and good weather.
It was about 2200 roughly for the boat captain and deckie no doubt this varies based on supply, amount of people and fuel price.
He fed us non stop and gave a plenty of different drinks.
We did every different type of fishing you could think of.
I would advise you take plenty of eskys.
He only let us drop if thought we might catch fish.
We fished from 1300 until 0200 the next morning and after 2 hours sleep we woke up to baited rods and plenty of fish on the bite.
His deckie was a nice bloke and kept ours lines baited when he was not packing fish and doing his other jobs.
We caught so many fish that catchers/keepers was not an issue.
We drove to tin can from Toowoomba and was it worth it!
We used the commercial fish trader in town to process our larger fish and help us with ice and so on. His wife cooked up some of the cobia fresh when we got off the boat the next day.
His number is 0407834885 or 54834885
Hope you have better luck next time.

    Bundymat,
Agree with Captain Seaweed, Rell fish'n with Johnny is an excellent operator. Been out about a dozen times with him & no complaint's.
Before we statred going out with John we tried another operator out of tweed(can't remember name but big yellow old boat). Before we even got to the bar,the engine caught fire, this didn't deter the skipper however and he still wanted to go out. Needless to say we returned to port & we found another charter operator.
