current out on the barwon banks

any one got any reports on the amount of current out on the barwon banks at the moment?

was out off the gold coast yesterday, and the current was so strong it was not fishable. 16 oz sinkers were not even close to holding bottom.

was thinking about going out to the wide banks early in the week, but if the same current is raging it wouldn't be worth it

The past 2 weeks fishing inside the banks the curent has been pushing south pretty quick. 2 weeks ago i was drifiting south into about 10 knots of Southerly breeze!

Plenty of current off Double Island over the past few days.

Mick 2 different blokes that have fished the banks in the last couple of days said "the current is roaring" but i do know in some spots on the banks there is little....
