    Re: Cooktown Fishing

    hi rodman.

done the trip with the mises about 18 months ago by road . up through the

daintree and across the Bloomfield river and just loved it.

hired a tinny with a 25 on it and trolled up one of the local rivers for about 2 hours passing the remains of an old bridge and a couple of abbo camps the conditions looked so good i thought a barra had to be on.

no barra but one nice jack. any way got that far up this creek could almost
tough the bank on both sides, then hit a stumps and..... shit wakup a crock
could jump in the boat from here, hang a uey and get the hell out of there.

so the fishing was big that day but i cant wait to get back and gust love
    it up there.............cheers
take a feed & leave the rest to breed

With your comments about the XXXX camps, I think there are enough red necks up this way. Stay down where you are if you can't show a little respect for the indigenous people of the area.

If you go into camping I answered your question on caravan parks in Cooktown a week ago along with prices.
