baker they are ok to eat , best bet is soaking the fillets or steaks in milk over night to get rid off the amonia taste around the 1m mark is a good eatig size . dont forget the new rules , 1.5m max size for any shark and only 1 per person .
i will probly hit the pine on sunday chasing bullies , say hi if you see me there . If anyone catches a bully in the pine that has a tag in it could you pm me the details , just interested to see if there are any there still from last year and how much bigger they are .

hi ubdkdd iv got heaps of bullies at night around the bribie bridge the biggest so far is about 6foot so i guess thay would be up the canals

Mate up to 6kg pups you can get away with mono...at least 30lb trace though. Lemons you can get 20plus kg on say 60lb mono trace, but they have much different teeth to bulls...more pin-like. For 6-20 kg bulls i'd look at 120lb wire minimum, 20-60kg 250lb wire minimum, then beyond 60kg bulls you wanna up the poundage substantially, as well as your reel, rod, and main line. Hope this helps.

hey falz im a big fan of using cable ties to tie large mullet to the hook iv had a very good hook up rate with this method.

Hi all are any of the mentioned places you catch the sharks from accessible for some land base fishing I don’t have a boat and love fishing for sharks. Can any one suggest any good land base spots around the pine area that would hold sharks?

meg-a-bite the horribrooke brigde is a good place for then its just abit hard getting them from the water on to the bridge i think most people use a rope with a loope in it an slide it down over the tail an pull them up that way! iv seen guys catch a few big ones off the rock wall at clontarfe aswell!!
