hows teewah been fishing lately??

hey fellas camping up at teewah for the weekend an was wondering how the fishing is up there at the moment if any one knows! this algea bloom coming through an the netters around i hope there still some fish around!

Was up there about two weeks ago for five days - it was crap, probably the last time I'm heading up that way again. Reasonably good conditions but just no fish. Caught three legal mixed and lots of throwbacks. Reckon they are right re the theory about netting scaring the fish off for km's. Its a pity cause its such a beautiful environment and great camping spot. A few fish would make it so much more enjoyable. This same thing happened last time I visited. Saw netters every day heading up the beach. Camped near Red Canyon. No pippies but a few worms.

Mate I was up there a few weeks ago and also no luck. I said to my mate we might not take rods there anymore. The amount of times we have been there and have caught nothing is getting quite boring. Slider on this sight is a local and seems to be able to get them.

Effort vs return it has to be one of the most dissapointing places to fish. Great place though really beautiful. It is getting loved to death though, it gets hammered most weekends. The usaul yahoo boys donutting and speed racing on the beach is quite worrying. I have stoppped taking the kids there 2 reasons yahoo boys and the toilet they call the camping areas. Sorry to be so negative but it's just dissapointing.

I hope you get a fish and don't step into any sh#t.

I posted the question a few weeks back re. the lack of fish along that stretch of coast.This just confirms all the answers I got at the time: Netting = no fish.When o when will something be done?
