    Looks like a boating permit is on the way. I'm not 100% against this as long as it's reasonable and the $ go back into facilities at the dams for BOATERS. Like ramps, boat & trailer parking, fish cleaning tables and more stocked fingerlings, and not for tables, swings and bbq's for the picnickers to use free of charge. Also a cheaper day & weekend permit instead of the ridiculous weekly $15 permit we currently pay for even a few hours on the water at Somerset and Wivenhoe.
    I prob prefer the system used at Cressbrook where it's a $2 coin to open the boom gate each time you enter reguardless of what rec activity you're there for, that way one group isn't subsidizing the other.
