What boat is this??? Pride What?

Hi all.

Can someone PLEEEASE tell me what model Pride this is?.....

It's name, it's year or time frame etc. I know that it is a Pride runaboat, but thats all I know.

Here are two different sizes of the same boat. The nicer one is a 5m/16.5ft and the other one is a 4.6m/15ft one. I think that they are both the same boat but just one bigger than the other.

When I was a 10 year old kid at Bribie ie around 1960 there used to be one of these with a 75 hp johnson on th back of it. It is definately a Pride. I believe the model was called " Starflite " but cannot be definate. I belive the boat is circa about early 1960. The market receive a jolt in that same period with the release of the V15 and V19 Bertrams with the tunnel hull. They were the ones John Haines first made. From then on the flatter bottoms passed.

Hi Fido. Thankyou for your information and your attempt to identify this boat. Unfortunately, I was able to find a couple of "Starfilte's" on the net and found that they are definately not the same boat. If you or anyone else out there can make any other attempts to identify this hull it would be so much appreciated....

Thankyou in advance for any knowledge/guesses/or even maybe a website that you know of that will help me identify the different Pride hulls from the past.

Yeah Chimo, I just checked them out too and they are definately not Playmates.

Thanks for the info Jimbo but they are definately a Pride. The reason why this is almost certain is because my restoration project up the top is registered as a Pride and is badged as one also. The other nicer looking one is also advertised for sale as a Pride and since then I have managed to find another one that is advertised for sale exactly identical to the two above also as a Pride.

Whats funny is that ALL THREE owners including myself have no idea what MODEL or YEAR/S this Pride hull is!!!

Anyone else have any thoughts in regards to this???

Does anyone out there at least know of a website that could possibly help me find different Pride Hull's of the past or maybe a contact name or number of someone or even a company that might be able to give some direction in regards to the identification of this Pride hull???

They also had a 16'4" Panther and a 16'11" Endeavour.

I found a couple of Premier's on Boatpoint.com.au. There is unfortunately no resemblance to my boat and the others above. Also, my deadrise is no more than 10degrees.

Will I ever find the answer???

Surely, someone out there must know a little about these Pride's?

my mates father had the exact boat, flat bottomed, short shaft sh!t of a thing, even had the same cable steering, I will ask him later on if he remembers what the model was called, I remember the size of the outboard, the name of the boat and all sorts of stuff, but not the model, later on he repowered with a 90HP Chrysler, another bad choice!
