It blows me away that there are still people willing to gamble their hard earned on a boat from a company that has hardly ever honoured any warrantee claims in the past even before the financial trouble
I have seen some of the complaints first hand and they were mostly manufacturing defects and a couple of material issues
so like I said it is your gamble

Marine Tune is a boat dealer who happens to sell this range, not a part of Albo

As i said a number of time here Im not risking anything. The dealer has my deposit, not the sub-contract hull manufacturer.

Then legally the dealer is responsible for warranty, they cant just defer me to the subcontract manufacturer, legally they are liable. The warranty is being used by them as a sale pitch and a condition of sale. Hence, they are responsible. The dealer will have to arrange to effect a repair if the manufacturers out of action.

Ive had my own company for 10 years, Im well across consumer law. I know who Im going after if theres any issues. Im hoping there wont be, but im very confident I can handle it. Im pretty direct and I know my rights backwards.

i do appreciate the advice, but its a little one dimensional.

Ill report in when my boats ready a month or so and well see.

Suntzu ,I to brought mine through a dealer, but when after numerous calls to this manufacture in reguards to my troubles and with many calls from me the consumer and with little or NO responce my dealer did fix it under the manu warranty for us then dropped them as a supplier , I will say it once again there is NO legisation on small boats in qld ,and they know it re consumer law / fair trade /small claims etc etc means f...all to these blokes . not trying to be a smartarse but just be warned , all the best
