Hello everyone, first time chatter on a forum, still learning what to do. I am moving up to Yeppoon soon but already have a boat up there. I would appreciate any fishing tips and GPS marks for the area, thanks.

What size boat do you have? If you aren't looking to go too far out, I might be able to help you out with a few marks. PM me your email address if you like.
Cheers,
Dave.
Try looking here for a few starter marks http://www.fishntales.com/index.htm
go to GPS marks then queensland then click on yeppoon. They'll be good for starters.
Try sending a PM to Scotty Lynch ,username Ifishcq or JT Python who has just posted on here for a bit of help.
You can do a search on here to find there usernames
Cheers

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges
Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

Hi,
I moved to Yeppoon about 4 months ago from the Gold Cost. Ive been out as far as man and wife and i have caught small mackeral, mack tuna, cobia and trevally.
I dont really know where to go or what the spots are (its a bit different to driving straight out of the seaway and going straight).
Does anyone know any good spots close in (no further than barren) that might be worth looking at???
ALSO>>
This whole bottom bashing on the reef .....?? What are the preferred rigs, baits etc? I have asked around but people just tell me to throw my rods away and get a speargun.
Anyhelp is much appreciated
