Great Report Paul, Awesome fish and pics!
Great planningtop call to hit Mondy in those conditions.
I'm off to Awoonga tomorrow, but it looks like we might have to drive south for a session or two!
Cheers,
Matt
Great report and well done, just can't wait for our next trip.
Some great photos there and some top memories for all.

Fish for the future, enjoy the present but think of your children.
Sorry Jeff....if only I knew it was you, Yee Ha and Craig, we could have stopped for a chat. Might have kept you there another day.
Anyway, you're having a ball with those blacks anyway. You must do a barra trip with us sometime. Fish or no fish....it's always fun.
Talk to you at the next meeting.
Cheers
Paul

Many thanks for the kind words from everyone. I let the team down but my time will come again.
Pete - yes the conversion rate was certainly a topic we discussed at length - much usually the other way round.
Lyndon - thanks mate, and yes, that was Josh the Mexican. Lee the Mexican was also with us in January.
Anyhow, I'm off to Wivenhoe for a Buck's weekend in the next 10 minutes, so better fly.
Once again, thanks to all.
Cheers

The pastry chef, did work hard though....Just didnt happen for him.
Dropped a good metery at the boat..It jumped forward on to the line and popped the braid like a shot.....He had nearly as many hits as the rest of us..
Spoke to the Brothers of Darkness today. Vin landed a 109 on the last night but no other action...South Easter had arrived and popped its head up and had turned fish slightly off the bite.
Navi goes back to work on Monday and will download the pics of his fish then....Watch some sparks fly then!!!!! Dont think they broke anything either....Just wore out their net....Seriously their enviro net was too small for Navs 123!!!!!!
I was unsure whether to fish the dam like a winter fishery or a summer fishery. Luck would have it that we got there at about 3.oo pm and started fishing about 4.oo thinking the dam would have warmed up nicely like the winter bite, but they chewed through the next 3 or 4 hours as the moon set luckily....
The last night we fished well after dark and ended up crashing into bed at 4.30 am then getting up with the grey Nomads at 6.30 thinking who turned the light on!!!
Ahhhhhhh Barra fishing. You got to love it.
Cheers
Ben

Crikey boys, you smacked em, congrats and well done, thats why we suffer the pastries on the dud trips, just hanging for a blinder like you blokes had to come along.

Paul,
Great report. To Ben, Josh, Vin, Navi and Paul- awesome effort.
What I think is sensational, beside the quality of fish landed, and the fun obviously had of course is the information laid out for everyone to get a handle on what plays its part in the big picture. "Nature, the environment and all the variations it throws." It has taken its time over the many seasons for reporting styles to include this on this site, but now we are stepping into the real world and I am grateful that others are doing this too. I have said this before, but you won't find this type and mass of intelligent information on barramundi fishing away from Ausfish and Sweetwater, (and they roll on to my website articles.) Reporting has done the full circle and if it continues to roll on down the right path, the track we have been trying to share with people will become more vivid and learnings will become more clear and the iconic barra will be better understood. It whitewashes the off tap scene, and firmly sets wheels in 4wd for those, (and there are many) who are keen to learn what makes things tick and how they can utilise that information to have a better chance of success.
Thanks for taking the time for a great lay out, easily read report with the evidence of fishy photos that say "Boom" on their own.
Cheers,
Johnny Mitchell
