thanks for the reply mate i probably have a chat to one of the guys at the tackle store up there cheers
Ask the boys at Kawana tackle world, they are always happy to help
Talk to the guys at Kawana Bait and Tackle they are down near La Balsa park so they should know whats on the chew.
I walk this wall regurlarly and almost never see a fish caught in daylight hours. But I do see plenty of bream and whiting in the water when I swim 100 metres or so back along the beach. That might be worth a try.
thanks for all your replies i did go for a fish on sunday did an early morning session from 6am till 830 with my son as we had stayed the night with the expectant parents and later that day 3 of us took off for another session while the girls celbrated.
i fished the very end of the wall my son was using prawn on his bream rod and casted in to the water between the walls and got a 34 cm squire damn good fun for him i on the other hand was casting metals out to sea i lost one very good fish but did land a spotty mackeral by 830 this was it and we headed of for brekfast with 2 very unlikley catches in the afternoon the tailor were around i landed 2 very decent size tailor on 65 grma raiders while my son lost 1 fishing with whole pitchard and a single 5/0 hook so all in all not bad and fun to catch some difference species for a change
Well there we go.. You've already done better than I do from that same spot, I'm ashamed to admit. I guess I'll have to try spinning some metals from there. Last time I tried I ended up losing a brand new halco twisty.
chamelion i was using 65 gram raiders also it seem that bottom there is a bit snaggy if your casting out to sea lost a lure ilike to let the metal sink a fair bit before retrieve the found it was a quick cant to 5 i definalty go back there might try later in the year and hope to hit more mackeral
