    Mullet Fillets?

    Hey guys were are we buying our mullet fillets from and what should we be paying for good stuff. I love my mullet fillets and have always bought them from Lucs seafood for $5 a kg for frozen which is great buying but the quality seems to have dropped alot. Do you buy fresh or frozen?     ive beed buying fresh from there
    but frozen in off season but salt them down

    I bought fresh whole mullet from the seafood place in Lawnton opposite the Paisley drive intersection with Gympie road. can't remember the name.

    cost $3.50 per kilo for whole medium sized mullet. works out well to be able to keep the frames for crab bait

    give morgans@scarborough a ring, fresh whole mullet for 2.80 kg gutted or not gutted depending on the day and they do 10kg boxes also for about 29$ a box and they have boxes of frozen fillets (not sure on price of fillets) .I had to ring them thursday to get some to take up north fishing hope this helps.
