Just wondering if this fish is a small Amberjack or a small Samson fish ??

Samson,the lines give it away. Plus the samson has a bit rounder head. An amberjack had a bit longer pointed head.

Yeah mate it went back, i know Samson fish and Amberjack's have to be at least 75 cm



I got a nice Teraglin (Trag Jew) the same day but that was released into the esky

Noelm, more of a common name than local. Trag or Teraglin jew => same fish.
