North of Moreton
I have never really tried the area north or east of cape moreton, as going through the south passage bar is so much closer to home but I am very keen to start giving the area a go.
I usually fish soft plastics, or jig but also through around the big poppers in areas that suit, and have been told the area can suit all three types of fishing. Have seen a few reports about fishing shallow close into the head land, fishing and trolling hutchies and then jigging for kingies, ambos and pearlies.
Just wondering if anyone can share their words of wisdom of the areas north and east of cape moreton, will be heading out on thursday as the weather is looking the goods and want to try some new ground. Just ideas on where to head for the different styles of fishing, what sort of depths etc.

Re: North of Moreton
Just NE of the headland 100-150m there is some ok bottom structure around 30-40feet deep from memory, in my limited offshore sessions we have got a few snapper. When we have fished there we mostly used live yakka's or slimey macs. I also got smoked there on a yakka by the fastest hard running fish i have ever hooked, i think it was a Hoo or a big spaniard. We also fished plastics there for some squire. We found lots of feature in fairly close (5 kms).
