    the pin 15aug

    howdy .
just finished washing the boat after a great day out at the pin ,
with mick meeting at my house at 7am we head down to cabbage tree point boat ramp,
flat all the way to the pin , we drift around for a few tiny bites and no hook ups ,
the call was made to head into cobby passage ,and try some new spots
,we found a patch of weed in about 1m of wter, flicked my 3inch smelt minnow just over it, as i was watching my minnow trying not to get snagged but keeping in the weeds a flathead came up and hit it , was the first time i had seen a flathead hit a plastic , came from no where , a short fight of about 10secs and he goes 45cm so in the esky for dinner
we get onto some pike looking things in the same patch of weed , they made a mess of our plastics so we move to another spot around the bend ,
we land about 5 more flattys from 20cm to 40cm , last move, we fished a stretch of water about .5 to 1m flicking away a few more small flattys then mick thinks he hits snag , give it a bit of a twitch and a good flatty breakes the surface and trys to run but a good fight and he lands a 51cm,,, pair of flattys for dinner mmmmmmmmm

great day good feed , was good to fish the pin after fishing the bay for so long

Sounds like a top day on the water guys, well done on the flatty frenzy.
