Well had firday off after banking the ekka holiday opting for long weekend instead. Couldn't think of better way to start the weekend then wetting a line. Headed over near fishermans Is about 630am, first trying for some livies hoping to pull my first threadie. The livies weren't to be so carried on with prawns and flesh bait. hadn't got the second rod in and was pulling the first in for a 26cm bream. Not 5 minutes later another @ 25cm. Getting a little excited thinking a hot session was to be had, it went quite right over the tide change. Once the change had finished the bites came back but not hooking up till the baitcaster buckled over in the holder. Setting the hook a fun little fight a PB 50cm squire/snapper was banked. The heavy similiar bites cont but for no hook ups Will return to spot as this was first time try the top of the tide next time.
Would like to thank all for the R2M last weekend had a ball met a couple of guys and walked away with a Vmr membership. A weekend well spent look forward to next year.
Nicely done Phil, I've only landed smaller specimens at that spot and one tiny Threadfin in the net. Good luck getting onto your first Threadfin, I'm sure it's not far away.
