GME 3420 problem
hey all
So ive just installed a GME 3420 with AE4018K1 aerial,... went to use it to find for some reason it doesnt recieve,,, i got within about 1km of the highway b4 i managed to pick up any chatter on ch40. i tested the aerial and it read 5.5Mohms on the multi. was there something i was meant to do, programming wise to increase my range.. or are they meant to be a turn on and ur away type of unit?
cheers

Re: GME 3420 problem
ive checked a couple of other things. the voltage is 11.8V at the console and the antenna socket on the back of the main console reads 10 kOhms,,
if anyone else has the GME TX3420, a multimeter and easy access to the back of their unit.. would you mind checking your unit to see if you come up with the same readings..
thanks
