    Rack Help

Hi all, I am 17 years old and absolutley love fishing in the saltwater, I really injoy it when I can do it which is only in the school holidays when we go to stay at out caravan. I cant go very often becuase I live in the country. So while I cant go fishing I have been making sinkers and selling them to make some pocket money so I can afford to buy some fishing gear. My parents purchased a tiny a couple of years ago and I am wanting to use my sinker money make it a bit better. I am wanting to purchase a set of the snapper racks that hold 3 rods, i dont want the plastic ones. Does anyone know where I can get them and how much? Also how would I install them in the baot because it only has very narrow sides. Please help.
    Thanks Brock

Ebay is a good place to start for these sorts of things, or if your handy they're fairly easy to make with some basic tools ie. a drill, drop saw with a metal blade. with some aluminium tubing and plate.

Generally you can just bolt them directly through the hull in tinnys. all the better if you can make them removable. remember to use either 304 or 316 grade marine stainless steele for the bolts or silicon bronze if you can afford it.

I did the same thing to my tinny a few years ago and the process shouldn't give you too much grief.

You may also be able to bolt them through the gun'l or the top of the left or right transom plate where your bollards usually are.
