Re: Camping and fishing at borumba?
There is no camping on the actual dam.
There is a camp near the dam but no cabins only camp sites.
The IMBIL deer farm is a camping area about 15 min from the dam and they have good cabins, camp sites, onsite vans etc.
You are targeting Bass or Saratoga. The short version is Bass gear is very similar to Bream gear. You will get a liven up if you hook a good Bass on your bream gear they fight well and are great sport.
Are you fishing lures? If so Spinner baits, plastics like sliders or twitch stick baits, hard bodies like vibes or classic Hard body Dam Buster type lures are worth a try. Borumba Bob at the Dam camp may still have some there. The bloke who was making them has retired but he still had a few.
Beautiful spot. Fishing the dam is limited if you don't have a boat.
Most of my Money is spent on Booze and Fishin. The Rest is just Wasted!
