ATVs on Bowen beaches

Does anyone know if there are any legal restrictions on riding a quad bike on beaches in and around Bowen. Coming from over in WA I could potter up and down loads of beaches looking for likely looking gutters etc. Just wondering if the same is acceptable over east?????

Generally, if it ain't registered you can't take it on a public road and public beaches are public roads. I suggest you call the Bowen Police and ask them. Then you will know who enforces the rules and how hard they enforce them.

Thanks for that. Sounds pretty sensible to me. Ask the coppas. Dunno why I didn't think of that. Interesting that the beaches are classed as public roads. Sounds promising for me then. I will find out more.
