    A Day Of Firsts

Mike (Aigusto) and myself decided to take our wives offshore fishing. Mike organised a charter with Smithy for today and we set off for Alexandra headland to spend the night there. Unfortunately Bec (Mike's wife) could not make the trip out fishing. Sue, Mike and myself met Smithy at the ramp at about 5am and ventured out off Mooloolaba. We did a few drifts for no results. A couple of changes of location and mike lands a nice pan sized snapper. The next cast he gets another. Then Sue hooks and land one also. Then on her next cast she gets another. Both Mike and Sue got busted up on their next cast..then nothing.
We moved around a bit more then headed back in at around lunch time.

Thanks to Smithy for taking the begginer out there.

    Sue's first offshore trip
    Sue's first snapper
Sue's first fish on a plastic.

    She was wrapt.

Going out with Smithy was a pleasure, had a great day and I was impressed with the Stabi and learnt a bit about using plastics from Smithy, great to see Sue bag some snaps,
