I don't beleive it!! Adamy! Mate I hope you are keeping well, good to hear from you! You will have to let us know if you manage to wet a line down there!

Matt, stay close mate, I know you would be interested to know 1st hand how well the boat performs in offshore conditions

    Well Done Brian.
Some nice fish there. Sounds like you had an interesting trip out there all right.

Cheers for the great read, Jason.

Not much happening down here fish wise... Though I've become somewhat of trout master... though nothing to stretch the arms... I'm down to using 1.8kg on everything - and bought some fly gear to get a challenge... Sold the boat before we moved... how envious I am of you guys up there in Gods country!!

    Hi Brian,

We had a ball but we were all totally buggered after the first hour. I just sat back and laughed at the boys trying to race each other to the top. Why would you bother because Eric beats them by miles every time.

Good to see that you pulled up something else besides heads.

Yes but who caught the snapper? Not Eric Was it Richard or Peter? But Eric told me his secret to getting them up faster, and the rod is only half the equation

The shark made me think I had finally beaten this fish, thinking he had finally thrown in the towel.... It was a little lighter that's for sure.
Thanks again for allowing the shadowing with my boat, I might start planning the next trip sooner than later, that was awesome fun. I better start going to the Gym in preparation so I last a little longer than an hour

I thoroughly enjoyed the day out. Thanks for letting me be the deckie for the day when I know there are so many starting to queue up for that privilege. Once that first pigeon pair of YT Kingies hit the deck we quickly realized the importance of a larger esky when fishing offshore. Had kingfish fillets for dinner and I have to say that it is not bad on the chew. Fun times ahead I think.

Whacko! Ain't fishin' fun? Great result, those Kingies are a ball, and after you curry them, no better chewin' on the face of God's green Earth!

    Cheers,

Curry them?? Hey, you've given me another idea for the left over fillets I have in the fridge. A couple to a work collegue, and I'm out.... None left to freeze, and that's the way I like it!

Thats the ticket mate. I have a Supercheap 110 litre (which cost about 200 clams from memory) straight down the middle. Way easier and less blood on your nice seats Could do with a bigger one though as some of the macks we got thius year were a bit squished. But same problem, the wife

Couple of very happy looking fellas there!
The reports for Sat morning and the reality around dawn were very different.
We headed off into the dark in our 4.5 tinny and it was nasty!
    Great report, thanks.
    Cheers and thanks.

    How is your trailer now?

When I remove the seats I will put down some of those interlocking rubber squares that I buy for camping that I need to get more, at the back for two reasons - more comfortable and safer under the feet and also to protect people from stepping down onto the clip thingys that are bolted to the floor that hold the seats in place. If you slam your heel down on one of those it would hurt
