off caloundra yesterday
practised catch and release, drifted around close reefs and shipping channel, caught a yakka, put it on live bait rig, 4 hours later released same yakka.
had pilchard out back and also tried soft plastic, nuclear chicken (after reading so much about them) lost the tail of one.
no fish came home.
fisheries were out checking boats.
anybody having any success up this way.
regards

Mate I fished the 12 mile yesterday. Managing only just a feed 8 fish. Caught small pickers all day found some great shows but nothing wanted to play the game ,still better than being at work..

The same for us too. Thought it must be just me.
we left Mooloolabah at 7.30am and got back at 5.30pm and fished from wide caloundra to the middle of the banks with only one keeper. Plenty of undersize came aboard only to go back to their families and about half a dozen bust offs. they were the only thing to get us excited. Dont know whats wrong but it sure beats working. Have to take advantage of the beautiful weather. better luck next time.
