fish id - blue cod

out the banks today and caught cod. Sorry no pic, but was basically the same to look at as an estuary cod, same markings etc, but was bright blue. Measured about 600mm, wasnt sure on what he was, so released him, but just after any advice as to what type of cod it may have been. Cheers
