2010 Lake Burrendong Classic
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Competitors must be registered before a fish can be measured by a marshal.
2. Registration times will be:Friday April 2nd- 4. 00pm to 8. 00pm
Saturday April 3rd- 8. 00 am to 12. 00pm
Sunday April 4th- 7. 00am to 10. 00am
Or by post received by Thursday 1st of April 2010.
Fishing Times will be: Saturday 8. 00am-5. 00PM
Sunday 7. 00am-1. 00PM
Carp measuring will be for one hour at the end of each day to determine who wins the biggest carp
sections in both senior and junior.
Catch and release sections are: Golden Perch
Silver Perch
Murray Cod
Catfish
Both senior and Junior prizes will be awarded.
Major prizes will be in the form of a lucky draw from all entry forms. No more then one major prize per competitor.
3. Briefing times will be: Main Briefing- Friday 7. 00pm
Half Way Up-date briefing- Saturday 7. 00pm
Presentation: Sunday 3. 00PM
4. All fish measured must be caught within the confines of Burrendong Dam- in the Cudgegong Arm, in the main area, and in the Macquarie Arm not past Oakey Creek. 5. Fish measured must swim away IMMEADIATLY – if they do not they will be scratched. The Marshalls decision is final. It is the fisherperson’s responsibility if a fish does not swim. They must remove it from the water and dispose of it properly.
6. Any competitors found to be fishing illegally by the Fisheries Department will be automatically disqualified and any entry fees will be forfeited.
7. All prize winners MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE at the time of the presentation to receive their trophies or lucky draw prizes- or a re draw will occur.
8. All prizes will be won.
9. Only one prize per fish rule will apply.
10. Species to be weighed-in will be REDFIN- gutted and gilled, and the winner of biggest carp shall be determined by length.
11. Prize divisions will be for size of species caught with the minimum length for all species being 35cm, with the exception of cod which will be 60cm.
All Redfin and Carp should be removed from the water immediately!
12. The competition is open to all- as long as entry fees are paid.
13. The IWRA organisor’s committee’s decision is final. Any competitor wishing to lodge a protest may do so in writing at the weigh-in station to a member of the committee. Such a protest must be made within the hour with the accompaniment of a protest fee of $150. 00. The protest fee will be returned if the protest is upheld.
The major prize of the boat, trailer and outboard motor will be by draw of all registration forms at the end of the presentation. The winner must be present at the time of the draw and does not have to have measured or weighed in a fish.
REGISTRATION FEES: $25.00 per adult and $15.00 for a pensioner or junior. (A pension card must be presented at the time of registration if applicable).
Note:There will be 20 Marshall Boats on the water measuring fish during the fishing times.
